the NOLA Yoga Photography Project:

I am creating a photography portfolio of the yoga community in New Orleans. I am capturing interesting images of people practicing asana in various locations, events at yoga studios, kirtan, AcroYog, etc;

The project began as an interactive way to raise funds so I could take the 2011 Jivamukti Yoga teacher training at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY. Thanks to this project and a generous scholarship from Jivamukti founders Sharon Gannon & David Life I was able to achieve my goal!

I am planning to continue to work on this portfolio and expand into new creative territory. I will be exhibiting in 2012 in New Orleans, stay tuned for details.

Now that my training is paid for this is purely for love, and any contributions will be to help support me as an artist and to help put together the exhibit.
